Write a Dialogue between two friends one supporting a town life and the
other a village life.
Mabrur : Hi Ahsan!
Ahsan
: Enough of it, I’m fed up.
Mabrur :
What do you mean?
Ahsan
: I mean, I’m sick of the city life, Mabrur.
Mabrur
: Curious indeed! People are mad for the city and the city sickens you. What’s
the trouble here?
Ahsan
: No end of troubles. This noise, this crowd and this congestion, this
dirt and this smoke and what not.
Mabrur
: And do you prefer a dull sluggish life among a set of fools? There’s cinema,
no theatre, no buses, not even any good road.
Ahsan :
But the sun shines there bright over the fields and the stream, the flowers smile
and the people, though stupid are so simple and sympathetic.
Mabrur
: A poet’s dream! Think of the Rainy-season the knee-deep mud,
frogs, snakes and the howl of jackals at night.
Ahsan
: There’s peace. There’s beauty of nature.
Mabrur:
But beauty doesn’t help life. In a village, no doctor, no hospital, no school,
no college, no university And you can’t do without a city in this 21st
century.
Ahsan:
Surely a city is necessary but there must be the quiet village too, where the
sick mind may sleep occasionally to breathe out a sigh of relief. Don’t forget
that ALLAH has made the village while man has made the city.
